Brian Sheridan
Writer/Producer/Face
About Brian
Brian Sheridan has been wanting to tell stories for as long as he could read and write. When he was five, Brian was given a notebook by his grandfather and told he could write whatever he wanted; when he wrote his first story and tore the pages out to give to his mother, his grandfather slapped him and yelled at him for “ruining” the notebook so Brian stopped showing his work to other people for a while. In high school he discovered Kurt Vonnegut, Douglas Adams, and Sir Terry Pratchett in the same year, which warped his mind considerably. He won a coveted space in his high school’s annual poetry publication, and wrote and edited for his school newspaper, which was ranked third in the nation among high school news outlets.
College was a dark time and we shan’t speak of it.
After graduating, he honed his storytelling and bullshitting skills working as both salesman and teacher, then both at the same time when he started working in marketing, writing content for a myriad of industries, including placental cryotechnology and long-haul trucking aerodynamics. He later worked for a crooked startup writing user manuals for point of sale systems while the owner doctored client contracts under the table, so it was no surprise when the company floundered financially and he was laid off. He spent a minute outraging elderly catholics (and delighting younger catholics) while managing the social media of a catholic publishing company before being hired by Nike to write the user manuals and training guides for digital retail tools in Nike stores worldwide. When his manager couldn’t figure out how to add a box to an org chart, Brian moved on to TransUnion where he became the communications manager for the Global Fraud Customer Success team. He excelled in this role until team leadership, who did not speak English as a first language and had never written professionally, thought they could do the job as well or better than him. He is currently working with a new company as a Marketing Generalist where he is sincerely very happy and works with smart people who are actually good at their jobs. It may be the best job he’s ever had.
Brian has been creating and seeking to entertain since he was in college. He managed his school’s annual film festival for three years in addition to winning several awards for his films (which he wrote, directed, and co-starred in), then tried his hand at acting – writing, producing, and acting in multiple d-level films alongside his abusive, alcoholic girlfriend at the time, then discovering his self-worth, breaking up with her, and starring in several stage productions (and directing one show) at the Little Theatre of Walla Walla. He wrote, ghost-wrote, and consulted on several scripts which were, sadly, never produced but provided him with additional training, and finally completed his first novel in 2013, Mapping Space. He has since completed several more books, as well as contributing content to the endeavors of his friends and loved ones because, quite frankly, he just loves to write and tell stories. Nighthawks is his first comic script, and he is currently working on a one-shot for artist Valentine Baker as well as plotting out the next Kent Allen mystery series.

Cara Rodriguez
Designer/Builder/Brains
About Cara
Cara has dreamed of nothing else but living amongst the clouds. She has found that the ground is too rocky, too gloomy, too restricting. And ever since her failure to fly as a child, a little too much Peter Pan and not enough fairy dust, she has dedicated her life to uncovering the path to fulfill that dream. But of course, given the fact that she is human and not a particularly rich one at that, she has not made much progress.
So for now, she designs websites, runs digital campaigns for nonprofits, and saves up for the chance to have wings.
